Welcome to CWRC Taxis, also known locally as Colehill & Wimborne Radio Cabs Ltd, established in 2003. We are a trusted, family-run taxi and private hire service based in the heart of East Dorset.

With over 20 years of experience, we proudly offer local and regional transportation services to a wide range of customers from across the county, we cover Wimborne, Ferndown, Verwood and the other surrounding local areas.

Whether you're traveling solo or with a small group, our diverse fleet of vehicles—ranging from 4-seaters to 8-seaters—ensures we can cater to your needs. We also provide a selection of wheelchair-accessible vehicles, ensuring that everyone in our community has access to reliable, affordable transportation.

Becoming More Than Just a Taxi Company ​

As we grew, so did our ambition. Rich transitioned into an operational leadership role, helping to modernise and streamline our systems without ever losing the personal touch our customers know and love.

Together with Nick, Rich helped shape CWRC into a company that’s both forward-thinking and deeply rooted in the needs of the local community.
​
We understand that in partly rural areas like East Dorset, access to transport isn’t just a convenience, it’s a necessity. That’s why we go the extra mile, offering accessible vehicles, remote pick-ups, and flexible service to meet the needs of every passenger, at every stage of life.

Built on Family, Driven by Community
CWRC Taxis, originally founded in 2003 by Nick Jones, began as a small, local taxi service with a big vision to deliver trustworthy, community-centered transport across East Dorset. Nick, who had been driving taxis since 1996, saw more than just the road ahead, he saw an opportunity to make local travel more personal, dependable, and inclusive.
From the very beginning, CWRC was more than just a taxi company. It was the start of a family legacy.

In 2014, Nick’s son Rich joined the business, learning every aspect of the trade from the ground up. Soon after, more family members, including Aunt Jo and Cousin Rob, joined the team, solidifying CWRC’s identity as a true family-run enterprise. Offering accessible vehicles, remote pick-ups, and flexible services to meet the needs of every customers family, a taxi service for every age and every stage of life. That family spirit is now at the core of everything we do.
Giving Back to the Community

Supporting our local community is not just part of our mission, it’s who we are. Over the years, we’ve proudly supported local schools like Colehill First, Hillside First, and Trinity school, as well as supporting youth sports teams including Wimborne Under 8s Rugby and Verwood Youth Football.
Whether it’s donating Easter eggs, sponsoring events, or supplying match balls, giving back is our way of saying thank you to our amazing community.

In recognition of our ongoing community involvement, CWRC was recently honoured with a Community Business Award, a proud moment that reflects our dedication to making a real difference beyond the driver’s seat.

With a loyal team of experienced drivers, many of whom have been with us for years, we’ve built more than a service. We’ve built relationships. And as the team expanded, we welcomed two incredible additions behind the scenes:
